No Ivy Day at Gateway Green on Oct 22

Location: Gateway Green site, between I-205 and I-84, north of Gateway MAX Station

Friends of Gateway Green is organizing a 'No Ivy Day' event at the Gateway Green site -- with a focus on removing English Ivy and other invasive species from the wooded area, near the center of the site.

Access is by bike or foot, via the I-205 Multi-Use Path.  From the Gateway MAX station, head north on the path (toward Rocky Butte).  Look for signs marking the location of the event.

Some tools will be provided, but bring gloves and hand tools if you can. Light refreshments will also be provided.

This is one of several community stewardship events to be held at the site in 2011 and 2012, made possible by a grant from the Portland Bureau of Environmental Services Community Watershed Stewardship Program.
