Fred Sanchez

Born in Los Angeles, raised in Los Chavez, NM, I found my home (and my wife) when I attended the University of Portland almost 50 years ago. We’ve owned real estate in the Gateway area since 1966 and our family has invested in the area as landlords and as business owners too. Two partners and I formed Realty Brokers, “thriving by referral since 1979” (though our slogan has changed in the last two years to “surviving...”) As President of the Gateway Area Business Association in 2002, 2003 and 2004 and actively involved before and now, I’ve enjoyed participating in the community’s FUN-O-RAMA parades and fairs, 9/11 first-responder appreciation days, Music in the Parks and more. These events are rekindling a sense of pride and identity in the area. Gateway is changing and a convivial synergy with business and the residents is developing.
